Job Summary

This position oversees the property tax function of the company. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handles all aspects of property tax compliance lifecycle: rendering properties, appeals assessed values, review and pay tax bills
  • Provides guidance and reconciliations regarding the monthly accounting for property taxes
  • Maintains a complete system of record keeping for property taxes
  • Assists the budget making process by providing estimates and rendering advice
  • Attends local board hearings and other off-site meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Expert knowledge of property tax principles and practices
  • Expert knowledge of relevant tax statutes and regulations
  • Expert ability to analyze large volumes of data and interpret consistent with process needs

Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Preferred: Other - CPA

Experience

  • Minimum: 12 - 15 years related work experience
