Job Summary

This advisory level position advises management and staff and provides expert analysis of complex financial information in order to support the corporate finance department or the company's corporate and strategic planning functions, depending on business needs.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the analysis of financial data and extracts relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability
  • Conducts financial review and analysis of major projects and initiatives while working closely with senior management to execute corporate finance strategy
  • Reviews and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs
  • Facilitates cross-functional initiatives to gain a comprehensive understanding needed to identify and bring awareness of business impacts and to ensure efficiencies are optimized at the corporate level
  • Examines reports for all related activities sent to senior management and makes recommendations as necessary to optimize portfolio performance
  • Defines, captures and analyzes metrics for processes, data and data quality in order to measure and quantify continual improvement and increases in value to the company
  • Leads capital market and financing activities, reporting on and execution of commodity and interest rate hedging transactions, rating agency and bank counterparty relations and related analyses
  • Reviews and monitors compliance with financing arrangements 
  • Mentors junior staff and other team members in the development of skills, knowledge, processes and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Expert knowledge of data modeling, Excel and data extraction
  • Enhanced data extraction experience to determine accuracy and identify unusual variations
  • Enhanced presentation, analytical and multitasking abilities
  • Enhanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and the coordination of people and resources


  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Preferred:  Master’s degree - from accredited university - Finance, Accounting or related field



  • Minimum: 12 - 15 years related work experience
