Job Summary

This advanced level position runs analytical experiments, evaluates theoretical data models and works with structured and unstructured data in order to find patterns, insights and solutions to complex business problems. 

This position is eligible for 100% fully remote. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and advocate data-fueled products that help our customers improve actionable data
  • Research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Use advanced techniqes such as probability and inference to find new or improved methods of obtaining and evaluating numerical data
  • Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research
  • Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis
  • Demonstrates an understanding of fields to which statistical methods are to be applied in order to determine whether methods and results are appropriate
  • Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data
  • Perform advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategic projects and initiatives
  • Leverage Big Data and Data Science to discover patterns and solve strategic and tactical analytic business problems using massive structured and unstructured data sets across several environments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Demonstrated depth in advanced analytics technologies (e.g., data science, operations research, statistics, data mining)
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R and Hadoop
  • Experience developing and supporting business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions (e.g. Spotfire, etc.)
  • Understanding of database design and ability to read and write advanced SQL
  • Advanced ability to learn and understand business workflows and value drivers; then apply technical design and solutions to meet business needs
  • Advanced ability to engage business and technical experts at all organizational levels and assess opportunities to apply data science and analytics


  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineer, Computer Science, or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree - from accredited university


  • Minimum: 8 - 12 years related work experience
