Job Summary

This advisory level position is a lead for new business opportunities for Chesapeake for NGLs and provides guidance on Marketing activities in order to optimize the company's revenue.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluates new commercial structures NGL to allow for higher margins through performance of complex fundamental analysis and market surveillance and submits proposals to senior management for approval
  • Serves as the lead in securing new business opportunities to expand trading opportunities for NGL
  • Develops and manages strategic relationships with end users and other key markets in the marketing area
  • Solicits, evaluates, and negotiates NGL agreements including the negotiation of blending and transportation agreements
  • Identifies and predicts future industry trends and formulates strategy to meet forecasted needs
  • Interacts with internal and external clients, including upstream/downstream operations teams, midstream, legal, credit and contract administration, and other key business partners daily
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specific Skills

  • Expert knowledge of financial markets and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Expert knowledge of midstream asset operations
  • Expert knowledge of gas sales and marketing
  • Expert knowledge of macro supply/demand fundamentals
  • Expert contract writing skills, including industry standard terms and conditions of service
  • Expert knowledge of basin fundamentals and competitor information
  • Expert knowledge of physical and financial trading tools required to meet economic objects

Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university in Marketing, Energy Management, Finance or related fields

Experience

  • Minimum: 12 - 15 years related work experience
