Job Summary

This position is responsible for applying professional human resources knowledge and experience to a variety of work activities, under limited supervision, in order to support one or more HR functions. Provides strategic analysis, evaluation, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, programs, and HRIS systems to enable business strategies and enhance overall organizational functioning.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Experience in administering all aspects of benefits programs, including (but not limited to) medical, dental, vison and life.
  • Knowledge and understanding of managing external vendor relationships, including medical, pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and benefits administration.
  • Experience coordinating annual open enrollment.
  • Skill and comfort in presenting benefits programs to small and large groups.
  • Assists in developing regular communications for the programs.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from employees, providing strong customer service in answering questions on plans, enrollments and status changes.  
  • Maintains a strong understanding of the compliance requirements of benefits programs.
  • Performs regular quality checks of data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills needed.
  • Experience with SAP/SuccessFactors a plus.
  • Payroll experience a plus.
  • Acts as an internal consultant to management to address human resources issues and concerns, recommending strategy and effective solutions that enable business operations
  • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, analyzing and evaluating HR policies and programs and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to management on HR policy, program, and system design and implementation
  • Researches and analyzes best practices to ensure competitive programs and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Develops a strong working knowledge of business clients in order to provide effective HR support and solutions
  • Utilizes project management methodology to execute HR initiatives
  • Analyzes statistical data and reports to identify root cause, provide recommendations, and aid in strategic decision making
  • Stays current on HR legislation, arbitration decisions, and other industry trends
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university

Preferred: Master’s degree - from accredited university - Human Resources, Business Administration or related field



Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
