Job Summary

This senior level position is responsible for assisting IT Corporate Systems as the lead Business Analyst Specialist for systems including, but not limited to, Oil and Gas Marketing, Legal, and Corporate Services.  Specialist will work closely with business, technical and internal control teams to ensure systems are configured appropriately and are operating effectively.  Specialist will work closely with internal and external auditors as part of internal control operation.  The ability to craft, conduct, facilitate and participate in effective communication forums with business groups across the enterprise and with external parties is required.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

 

• Responsible for Oil and Gas Marketing, Legal and Corporate Service application support and administration
• Collaborates with business and technical groups to identify and prioritizes systems projects
• Identifies opportunities to improve standardization and organizational efficiencies.
• Researches and evaluates new and alternative solutions and technologies.
• Coordinates application lifecycle activities including changes, testing, upgrades and configurations.
• Collaborates with internal and external support resources to deliver services to end users.
• Ensures effective support delivery in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
• Executes projects using applicable methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
• Reports status, issues, and timelines to management and project teams including key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Maintains application documentation and documentation of changes as per IT procedures.
• Operates internal controls and provides communication and documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Coordinates with internal and external parties for software license/maintenance expense processing and forecasting.
• Ensures team success through organizational, functional, and team alignment towards team mission and objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Proficient with writing SQL queries and reporting using tools such as PowerBI, Snowflake and Spotfire.
• Demonstrates advanced computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. 

Education

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - IT, MIS, Computer Science or related field

Experience

  • Minimum: 8 - 12 years related work experience
  • Preferred: 6+ years of relevant IT experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Horizon/Allegro application or equivalent Oil and Gas Marketing system
