Job Summary
This entry level position supports a variety of indirect tax processes such as property tax, sales and use tax, business and occupational tax, excise taxes, and other areas as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assistance with property tax compliance full cycle: preparation of renditions, calculations of value, processing and tracking of notices of value and tax bills, and remittance of payments
- Assistance with the preparation of sales and use tax compliance reporting and payment
- Assistance with other tax compliance matters including but not limited to business and occupational taxes, excise taxes, commercial activity taxes
- Assistance with tax information and reporting processes (1099 series) as well as tax withholding on payments
- Assistance with accounting accruals, journal entries, and reconciliation of account balances
- Stay up to date on current federal, state, and local tax policies that may affect the company
- Query reports from systems, arrange, consolidate, and maintain large data sets
- Up to 5% travel may be required for specialized training attendance, as well as accompaniment of tax leadership onsite to taxing authorities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Education
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
Minimum: 0 - 2 years related work experience
