Job Summary
Land Interns will be mentored by senior land professionals as they manage the company’s mineral and leasehold interests for an assigned geographical area by obtaining the legal right to drill oil and gas wells on a specific property. Interns will also monitor and report competitor activity on a larger prospect-wide scale. Interns are expected to work in a safe manner at all times and demonstrate company core values. All geographical basins are worked out of the Oklahoma City office.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares ownership reports from internal records
- Checks federal and county lease records
- Assists with assignment preparation
- Negotiates leases, performs title curative and contract review
- Assists with payout determination
- Proposes wells to third parties and prepares well notices
- Performs other duties as required
Job Specific Skills
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications
- Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
- Able to effectively abide company policies, procedures, and technology
- Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team

Education
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an American Association of Professional Landman (AAPL) accredited program required.
Additional Qualifications
- Will graduate no earlier than May 2027
