Job Summary

This intermediate-level position analyzes gas and liquids measurement data in order to provide support and assistance to the Operations teams and other disciplines related to measurement analytics and activities including Production, Accounting, and SCADA.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitors, analyzes, interprets and corrects any exceptions to the hourly measurement data on a real-time basis to validate accuracy of measurement data and assist in the resolution of balance discrepancies and issues
• Reconciles tank and truck tickets
• Reviews third party measurement data for data comparisons
• Works in conjunction with third parties including purchasers, pipelines and transporters to resolve measurement discrepancies
• Works closely with and provides input to measurement field personnel to resolve balance discrepancies
• Uses measurement data system (FlowCal) tools and reports to analyze gas sample data and review field reports such as test reports (TESTit), plate changes, and prove reports (PROVEit)
• Provides analytical and technical support to production, accounting, operations and field personnel
• Maintains meter information in measurement data system for assigned assets
• Maintains meter calibration, gas sampling and prove schedules
• Provides support for water tracking
• Utilizes spotfire and other data analytics tools to perform trend analysis, volume comparisons
• Generates reports to comply with data requests, external inquiries and audit inquiries
• Special projects and additional responsibilities as requested by management

Job Specific Skills

• FlowCal experience reviewing and correcting gas and liquid measurement data, analytical review of gas and liquid measurement data, balance configurations and volumetric data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and other stakeholders
• Ability to effectively manage time, organize, and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with MSExcel, MSOffice, Spotfire or other data analytics software
• TESTit, PROVEit or other measurement system software a plus
• Possess a fundamental understanding of gas and liquid measurement

Education

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university

Experience

  • Minimum: 2 - 5 years
