Job Summary

This entry level position inspects work and procedures used in their assigned area and maintains accurate documentation relating to conformance of codes and procedures in order to ensure quality standards are being met. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilizes knowledge of industry processes/codes to ensure quality standards are being met
  • Reads and understands basic drawings, codes and procedures in order to inspect for conformance
  • Inspects completed/in-process work and procedures utilized within the facility
  • Schedules tests and inspections
  • Maintains accurate and organized/detailed documentation in a timely manner

Job Specific Skills

  • Understand basic mechanical equipment, fabrication piping and vessel components
  • Beginner level comprehension of wiring/piping schematics
  • Know how to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic and algebra. Basic knowledge of geometry and other mathematical applications
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of welding, modern engines and compressors used in the natural gas industry preferred

Education

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Vocational or technical training - related field

Experience

  • Minimum: 0 - 2 years related work experience
