Job Summary
This intermediate level position prepares and monitors revenue distributions and handles accounting transactions and reports for analysis on the monthly revenue distribution.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs daily accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management
• Prepares account reconciliations and analysis to assess accuracy and completeness on accounting records and financial statements
• Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations in order to provide advice to management
• Develops, implements, modifies and documents record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
• Establish and maintain cross-departmental and external relationships
• Provide information requested from other departments or external parties
• Reviews, assists, and responds to owner inquiries
• Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
• Moderate knowledge of and ability to apply professional accounting principles, theories, concepts and terms
• Basic knowledge of spreadsheets, database software and the automated accounting system used in the department
• Basic knowledge of the structure, policies and operating details of the accounting system or segment thereof for which responsible
• Ability to acquire knowledge of specialized procedures and subject matter encountered in specific assignments.
• Ability to classify accounting transactions, maintain and reconcile accounts, close accounts and prepare reports and statements
Education
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
- Minimum: 2 - 5 years related work experience
