Job Summary
This senior level position is responsible for nominating and monitoring complex activities related natural gas with general supervision in order to manage company volumes and minimize financial overspends related to those transactions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Nominates or natural gas products
• Tracks volumes and, as applicable, confirms owner allocation with pipelines
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members
• Manages pipeline imbalance and cash out payments
• Determines natural gas products volume available for sale each month
• Reviews monthly gathering and transportation invoices
• Provides data pertaining to allocations to management and other internal clients as needed
• Serves as company liaison to resolve disputes related to balances or invoices
• Performs review on maintenance schedule in order to minimize impact to product flows and to reduce imbalances in pipeline
• Prepares production forecasts as needed for transportation service providers
• Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specific Skills
• Advanced knowledge of pipeline nomination processes, electronic bulletin boards, pipeline tariffs, gas contracts, commodity markets and pricing
• Ability to work within a dynamic, fast-paced and business critical trading environment
• Enhanced attention to detail and able to meet strict guidelines
• Advanced analytical and communication skills, and proactive problem solving abilities
• Able to be on-call and work weekends as necessary
Education
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
- Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
