Job Summary

This advanced level position guides the gathering and analyzing of various supply chain functional data in order to optimize the execution of supply chain activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis and reporting on supply chain activities that may include, but are not limited to: strategic sourcing, market intelligence, materials, contracts, supplier information, supplier performance metrics and compliance under minimal supervision
  • Gathers, tracks and creates tools to report data related to spend, savings, key performance indicators and supplier or departmental performance 
  • Identifies and resolves more complex data governance issues with key stakeholders
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries and collaborates with senior and entry level staff on various supply chain functions as needed
  • Helps guide the organization and standardization of documentation in support of various supply chain activities
  • Identifies and helps lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive value, lower costs, and allow for more-efficient operations across all aspects of supply chain
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

  • Enhanced knowledge of systems such as Systems Applications Programs (SAP) and Ariba
  • Enhanced knowledge of supply chain concepts (demand planning, forecasting, spend analytics, strategic sourcing process, continuous improvement, inventory management, procurement)
  • Enhanced understanding of Excel and other analytical tools
  • Ability to perform complex analysis on large sets of data to draw conclusions to improve business operations

Education

  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Supply Chain Management or related field

Experience

  • Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
